From Marbella Bus Routes & Travel Guide


Marbella is well connected by bus, making it easy to plan day trips along the Costa del Sol without a car. Popular routes include services to Fuengirola, Torremolinos, and La Cala de Mijas, with regular buses running throughout the day. Most services depart from the main Marbella bus station, with additional stops along the coast road depending on the route. Return journeys are straightforward, allowing you to visit nearby resorts and travel back the same day. This guide includes information on bus stop locations, route options, links to up-to-date timetables, and useful tips to help you get around with ease.

The main bus station in Marbella is situated to the north centre of town.  On the bus operator’s website it is referred to as Estacion  de autobuses de Marbella, From here you can get tickets and information from the ticket booth on all the bus services from Marbella. But for are selection of bus journeys Marbella central is a better option click / tap directions below. The bus service is cheap and easy to use. it’s a good idea to read the section below  so you know where you are and when to get off.  Some of the bus stops have different stops to get on and off so use the relevant web pages below for the journey.   


How to use the by bus pages to get around

I have tried to make this guide as easy as possible, the bus stops used are the best for most attractions. It’s worth Watching  the video above and use the same principle for all the routes below. Example,   to get to Fuengirola to La Cala de Mijas by bus Use the Fuengirola by bus webpage, click / tap on directions only and that will take you to the bus terminal in Fuengirola.  Check the timetable below buy a ticket and wait for the right number bus.  Click / tap on the La Cala de Mijas bus stop and this will show you when to get off  in La Cala de Mijas which is under the under the A7 Motorway. Use the La Cala de Mijas pages to take you to all the attractions in the resort, then To get back to Fuengirola use the La Cala de Mijas to Fuengirola bus webpage, that will direct you to the correct bus stop to get back. Click / tap on the Fuengirola terminal and you can follow your progress back to the terminal. If you are concerned about using data then check the arrival time on the bus timetable and switch the map on nearer the arrival time. The Costa del Sol has an excellent g5 connection and most of the bars have free Wi-Fi.

Getting From Marbella by bus

To La Cala de Mijas

La Cala de Mijas is an excellent choice for a day out from Marbella. The bus stop is in the centre of the village and its easy to get to. You pay on the bus if you get on at Marbella central (directions above) When you click on the bus route and timetable below it will take you to the bus operators website for the timetable click / tap Route table.

To Torremolinos

Torremolinos is the next town from Benalmadena  The best stop for the attractions in Torremolinos is Torremolinos centro. When you click on the bus timetable below it will take you to the bus operators website for the timetable.

To Benalmadena

The port at Benalmadena is a great place to start a day trip to Benalmadena. Puerto Marina is the best stop for the port. When you click on the timetable below it will take you to the bus operators website for the timetable.

To  Mijas

its very easy to get to Mijas by bus from Fuengirola. One thing different is you do not have to get a ticket from the ticket office in Fuengirola they are purchased on the bus. So the best way from Marbella is to take the M-220 to Fuengirola Terminal. Then take the M122 to Mijas. The best stop is the  Mijas Pueblo stop the last stop. La Cala de Mijas

La cala de Mijas is a beautiful resort for a holiday or a day trip. Its easy to get to. The best bus stop is get off is under the A7 bridge called La Cala de Mijas.
