Antequera is situated 45 kilometres north of Malaga just off the A-45 motorway. There is also a train service from Malaga. The town is also known as the heart of Andalusia due to its central location in the Andalusian Provence. It has been the location of many films and recently one of the locations of the 2020 series Warrior nun. The town has a many beautiful churches and a fully restored Alcazaba.
