The Arch of Giants or Arco de los Gigantes or Puerta de Hercules was built on an old Arab gateway in the 16th century. The gateway is 2 metres thick and 7 metres high. It is the entrance to

By Car
Antequera is just off the A45. 55 kilometres from Malaga. Take the A7 to Malaga then take the A45 to Antequera. Antequera is easy to drive to. For parking

There are regular buses to Antequera from Malaga bus station.
By Train
There is no direct route by train to Antequera from Malaga. It is possible but not
recommended.

There is a lot of off road parking and small car parks near the Arch or Giants the closest being at the entrance of the Arch of Giants. For

Prices & Opening times.
There is no charge to see the arch and the courtyard. But there is a charge for the Alcazaba and church within the compound. Adults €6.00 / 7 to 16 year olds €3.00 / under 6 free.
- 16 September to 31 March – Monday to Sunday, 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- 1 April to 15 September – Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM and Sundays 10:30 AM to 3 PM.
- Closed: 25 December, 1 & 6 January.
