Fuenta de Piedra near Antequera

Fuenta de Piedra is a large mudflat lagoon north of Antequera. The mudflat is home to the largest population of flamingos in Andalusia. This population swells between January and July with April being the highest concentration. There is an information centre with all the information you could ever need on the area and flamingos. The centre also has various viewing points and the staff can advise the best viewing point for that day. There are also private tours from the centre. By Car
The Fuenta de Piedra is 26 kilometres north of Antequera exit 132 off the A-92 Take the A-701. For the visitors centre click on the map below.
 By Bus
There are regular buses to Antequera from Malaga bus station and buses to Fuenta de Piedra from Antequera. 
By Train
There is no direct route by train to Antequera from Malaga. It is possible but not recommended.
There is a free car park at the visitors centre.

Opening hours for the visitor's centre

October 1st to March 31st 10:00 to 2:00 and 16:00 to18:00

April 1st to July 31st & 1st September to 30th September 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 19:00.

1st August to 31st August 09:00 to 15:00
