Plaza del Portichuelo in Antequera

The Plaza del Portichuelo is a beautiful plaza with the Church of Santa Maria and Tribuna chapel of the Virgin del Socorro also known as the Portichuelo chapel due to the name of the Plaza. The church  was built between 1527 and 1615 and the chapel in 1775. Recently the chapel was used as a backdrop in the Netflix tv series Warrior nun. Antequera is just off the A45. 55 kilometres from Malaga. Take the A7 to Malaga then take the A45 to Antequera. Antequera is easy to drive to. For parking in Antequera click the parking button below.

There are regular buses to Antequera from Malaga bus station. 
By Train
There is no direct route by train to Antequera from Malaga. It is possible but not recommended.
