Calle Carrera

One of the most famous streets in Andalucia, the birth place of Blas Infante and the main road into the centre of Casares from the MA528. The street is a typical whitewashed Andalucian street. As you walk up from the parking area you will find the Blas Infante museum which is also the tourist information centre. Continue walking and you will find the main plaza which is home to the Carlos III fountain built in 1785 it provides spring water to the village  and the church Iglesia de San Sebastian. The Plaza is full of bars and restaurants and a good place to rest. This is where the Calle Carrera ends. But if you keep going you will find the Cemetery and Church of La Encarnacion.
