La Cala de Mijas: Situated between Fuengirola and Marbella. the village centre is quite small and at first looks like a village in a holiday complex. But it is not and has everything you would expect from a town. A supermarket, shops , bars and of course the restaurants. La Cala has two restaurants owned by tv celebrities. The Little Geranium owned by Steven Saunders of Ready, Steady, Cook and Oliva's which is owned by TOWIE's Elliot Wright. The village also has many other restaurants including Spanish. The buildings inside the A7 are traditional and whitewashed. The largest holiday home complex is the Playa Mijas. It is well located for the beach and the shops. The gardens are immaculate and stunning making Mijas one of the best locations for a family holiday on the Costa Del Sol.

I have been holidaying in La CALA for 36 years, at la Cala beach club, managed superbly by Louis Sierra may I say , the changes in the village is amazing, I am soon to retire and would like a long term rental , maybe outside the village, as far as Calahonda maybe, to keep the cost down, 1 or 2 bedrooms would be ideal , any ideas , I would be willing to look after the property maintenance with a reduced rental of course, any names or listings of people or organisations looking for renting properties
