Playa la Cala de Mijas is a beautiful beach with a promenade running the length of it. There are no busy roads to worry about near the beach which makes La Cala de Mijas beach a very safe place for kids. Along the beach are chiringuito's offering food and drink. In 2016 La Cala beach was awarded the coveted Blue flag status. There are 24 beaches on the Costa Del Sol that can boast this status and is a sign of excellence.
