Plaza De Toros was built between 1779 and 1784 and is the oldest bullring made of stone. It is home to the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda Spain's oldest order of horsemanship. Ronda boasts that their bullring is the Largest and oldest in Spain.....But Seville has a 10,000 capacity to Ronda's 5,000. Ronda does have the largest Rueda (the sand circle in the middle) though. Ronda's bullring did hold the first bullfight but part of the stand collapsed during the display and had to close for over a year for repairs, during this time Seville got up and running. There are still bullfights at Ronda but not as many as in the past.
