 Carnaval de Málaga in Malaga begins before lent in February so the starting date can vary. The carnival lasts six days and includes processions through the streets of Malaga, music, food and lots of fun and magic. The carnival end's with the burial of the anchovy six days later where a large model of a fish is paraded through the streets of Malaga to the beach where a large bonfire is lite together with a large firework display. The carnival attracts thousands of revellers each year and has become a big day in the Malaga diary. 2019 date is from 23-02-19 to 03-03-19

Mijas carnival. The great thing about this carnival is that it moves from one town to another in the Mijas provence namely Las Lagunas, La Cala de Mijas and Mijas Pueblo. It's lot of fun with dancing and music in the streets. Dates for 2019 Las Lagunas 23-02-2019 starting at 16:00, 24-02-2019 La Cala starting at 11:30 and Mijas Pueblo 03-03-2019 at 11:30 







Andalusia day marks the date when the provence became autonomous 28th February 1980. Tll the Costa del Sol is part of Andalusia and celebrate the day with music dance and lots of flag waving. It's a proud day in the Andalusian diary.
