New Year's Eve

New year in the Costa del Sol is like everywhere else in the world, it's party time, every city and town puts on a new year party below are a few of the locations. There is a tradition on the Costa del Sol  "Las doce uvas de la suerte" The 12 lucky grapes where a grape is eaten between each ring of the bell at midnight. So make sure you have your 12 grapes and a bottle of bubbly.

Many of the fairs & festvals on the Costa del Sol have been cancelled due to coronavirus so please check with the local tourist information centre.

Fuengirola: Plaza de Espana. Out side the Town Hall. crowds start to gather from around 10:00. at midnight all eyes are on the town hall clock and the countdown begins. The party continue's with music and dancing into the early hours.

Malaga: Plaza de la Constitucion at the top of Calle Marques de Larios. Crowds start to gather at 10:00 from the near by bars. The party continues into the early hours.

Marbella: Has parties everywhere but the official one is in the Plaza de los Naranjos with fireworks and music into the early hours.
