The Benalmádena Tourist Information Centre at Bil Bil Castle is a useful first stop for visitors wanting to make the most of their time in Benalmádena. Located directly on the seafront inside the recently refurbished Castillo El Bil-Bil, the new tourist office provides information about attractions, beaches, restaurants, activities, events and places to visit throughout the municipality. The centre has also been upgraded with interactive digital screens and virtual-reality experiences, making it more than simply somewhere to pick up a map or leaflet.

Tourist Information centre

1. Overview

The Benalmádena Tourist Information Centre is located inside the iconic Castillo El Bil-Bil on the seafront at Benalmádena Costa.

The new office opened to the public on 24 August 2026 following the refurbishment of the castle.

It provides visitors with information about Benalmádena's attractions, beaches, culture, restaurants, leisure activities and events.

The centre has also been modernised with digital screens providing interactive information and virtual-reality experiences designed to help visitors discover more of Benalmádena.

Its location makes it particularly convenient if you are already exploring the promenade, beaches or Castillo El Bil-Bil.

The Tourist Information Centre is located inside Castillo El Bil-Bil on the seafront.

It is approximately:

5 minutes' walk from Playa de Bil Bil

10 minutes' walk from Selwo Marina

10 minutes' walk from Parque de la Paloma

The location is easy to find as Castillo El Bil-Bil is one of the most recognisable buildings along the Benalmádena promenade.

3. Opening Times

The new tourist information office currently has extended summer opening hours:

Monday to Friday:

9:00am – 8:00pm

Saturday and Sunday:

9:00am – 3:00pm

These are the published summer opening hours following the opening of the new office and may change when the summer season ends. It is worth checking before visiting if you are travelling outside the main season.

5. How to Get There

By bus:

Local bus services operate along Benalmádena Costa, with stops close to Castillo El Bil-Bil and the promenade.

By train:

The nearest Cercanías railway station is Benalmádena-Arroyo de la Miel. From the station you can continue by bus or taxi, or walk down towards the coast.

On foot:

The tourist office is particularly easy to reach if you are already walking along the Benalmádena promenade.

It is also within walking distance of Parque de la Paloma, Selwo Marina and several of the resort's beaches.

By car:

There are parking options in the surrounding streets and car parks, although spaces close to the seafront can become busy during the summer.

There are parking options around Castillo El Bil-Bil and along the surrounding streets, although finding a space close to the castle can be more difficult during busy periods.

If you are planning to explore the promenade as well as visit the tourist information centre, it can be worth parking slightly further away and continuing on foot.

Pick up local information before starting your sightseeing.

Ask about current events and activities taking place during your stay.

Make use of the interactive digital displays.

Allow some time to look around Castillo El Bil-Bil while you are there.

The centre is particularly useful if you are visiting Benalmádena for the first time.

Combine your visit with a walk along the promenade.

Parque de la Paloma and Selwo Marina are both nearby.

Puerto Marina can also be reached easily along the seafront.

If you are looking for boat trips or other activities, the tourist office is a good place to ask about the options available locally.

Pick up information about the attractions and activities available during your stay, then continue along the promenade towards Parque de la Paloma and Puerto Marina. You can also use the opportunity to look around Castillo El Bil-Bil, making two worthwhile stops in one visit.
