The Cortijo de Torres Sunday Market is the largest regular outdoor market in Málaga, with around 315 stalls spread across a large open area on Avenida de las Malagueñas. 

It is a traditional Spanish mercadillo, offering a huge variety of goods at considerably different prices. You can browse everything from clothing and footwear to jewellery, leather goods, household products, mobile phone accessories, plants, flowers and food.

The market is particularly popular with local residents, but it also attracts visitors looking for bargains and a taste of everyday Málaga away from the main tourist attractions.

There is also a separate second-hand market nearby on Calle José Blánquez el Maño, with around 136 stalls selling vintage items, ceramics, decoration, clothing, textiles and other second-hand goods.

The main Cortijo de Torres market is located on Avenida de las Malagueñas, close to Málaga's Feria ground.

• 5 minutes' walk from Victoria Kent station (on the C1 and C2 train line)
• 15 minutes' walk from Parque de Oeste

3. Opening Times

The Cortijo de Torres market is held:

Every Sunday:
9:00am – approximately 3:00pm

The market is generally at its busiest during the morning, with many visitors arriving soon after the stalls open.

The market may occasionally be affected by major events taking place at the Cortijo de Torres Feria ground, so it is worth checking before travelling, particularly around Málaga's August Feria and other large events. 

The nearby second-hand market also operates on Sundays from approximately 9:00am – 3:00pm.

By train:
Take the Cercanías network to a Victoria Kent station on the C1 or C2 lines and continue by local bus or taxi. The Málaga City Council lists the C1 and C2 as connections for the Cortijo de Torres market. 

By bus:
Málaga city bus services provide connections towards the Cortijo de Torres area. The market is also served by local bus services including routes 1 and 20. 

By car:
Driving is one of the easiest options, particularly if you intend to buy larger or heavier items.

On foot:
The market is too far from Málaga's historic centre for most visitors to walk comfortably, so public transport, taxi or car is recommended.

6. Parking

There are parking areas around the Cortijo de Torres Feria ground and surrounding streets, although finding a space can become more difficult during busy Sunday mornings.

The area is much more car-friendly than Málaga's historic centre, making it a useful choice if you are planning to spend several hours at the market.

During Málaga Feria and other major events at the Cortijo de Torres site, parking arrangements can change considerably.
