Cabopino has a good selection of parking options, making it one of the easier beach destinations to visit by car. The main parking areas are located within a short walk of the marina, beach, dunes, and waterfront restaurants.
The primary parking area is situated above the marina village and is the most commonly used car park for visitors.
There is also a large extension car park located slightly lower down the hill, providing additional spaces during busier periods. Together, these two parking areas serve most visitors to Cabopino.
Further parking can be found on both sides of the A-7 exit serving Cabopino. These areas can be useful during peak summer months when the main car parks are busier.
Street parking is also available in some nearby roads, although availability varies depending on the season and time of day.
From the main parking areas, most attractions can be reached on foot within a few minutes, including:
The route from the main car parks down to the marina and beach is generally straightforward, although there are some gentle slopes.
For most visitors, the upper and lower main car parks are the best option. They offer easy access to all of Cabopino's main attractions without the need to search for limited roadside spaces.
Compared with many Costa del Sol resorts, parking in Cabopino is relatively straightforward. The large public parking areas above the marina make it easy to visit the beach, dunes, restaurants, and marina in a single trip, helping visitors spend less time searching for a space and more time enjoying the area.

The carpark is wheelchair friendly but it does have an uneven surface.

A few years ago most parking in the Costa Del Sol was mostly free but that has now changed. There is still free parking available in most towns but you have to be careful. If you do get a parking ticket it can be paid at most ticket machines and you may get a 20% discount for prompt payment. If you are driving a hire car and get a ticket it will catch up with you which ever country you live in. Most towns have a free car park but finding them is not easy. Fairgrounds and bullrings tend to have the best free parking but thats not guaranteed. Below are 3 simple signs to watch out for when street parking but this is only a guide so be careful there are some rules that only local residents can know. The guide was correct at the time of publishing 2024 and is periodically checked so make sure it is still free if you park there, this website will not be held responsible for any parking violation's.

Parking spaces either with white painted bays or white lines generally means free parking. But read the third rule below.

Parking spaces either with blue or green painted bays or lines generally means it is paid parking with a time limit. There will be a pay meter near by again read the third rule below.

Parking spaces with a yellow zig zag line means that there is a restriction to parking there and there will be a sign to explain. It can mean many things from disabled parking to only parking at certain times of the day to taxi's only. So find out the restriction before parking there. The yellow zig zag line can be on free or pay parking zones.
These are no hotels in Cabopino but here's 3 hotels in nearby La Cala de Mijas village. The Vik Gran, Orange House and Hotel Carman.
