Parking in Fuengirola


Parking in Fuengirola is easier than you might expect, but knowing where to park can save you money and a lot of unnecessary driving around. Our guide covers the main parking options, including Sohail Castle, the Feria ground, Plaza de la Constitución and the marina, with directions to each location and advice on which are best depending on where you are visiting. The free parking around the Feria ground is particularly useful for visiting the town centre, while the parking at Sohail Castle is a good low-cost option if you don't mind a walk along the promenade. We also explain the different parking markings and restrictions you need to be aware of in Spain, with a video showing some of the things to look out for when parking on the Costa del Sol.

Sohail Castle Parking

🏰 Sohail Castle: Top parking spot! 🚗 Ideal for non-confident drivers in Spain. Just off A7 motorway, 1 Euro for the day. 20 min walk to town, 10 min to Bio Park, 2 min to the beach. 🌊 Use "directions only" button below on your phone or set sat nav to Calle Tartesios, Fuengirola.

Fair ground Parking

🎡 Fairground Parking: Excellent & Free! 🚗 In town, easy to navigate. Spacious lot, Cannot be used on market days Tuesday and Saturdays or when the fair is in town.  5 min walk to the beach, 10 min to the town center. 🏖️ Set sat nav to Calle Aparcamiento Recinto, Fuengirola, or click "Directions only" button below. There is also a car park just to the side of the fairground which is also free and can be used every day.

Plaza de la Constitucion parking

Plaza de la Constitucion underground Parking: Central & Convenient! 🚗 Pay by the hour or day, choose the cheaper option. Ideal for town center parking without much walking. Off Av. Condes de San Isidro, next to the church. Be cautious of one-way roads, assess from Av. Condes de San Isidro. Click below for directions. 📍

Marina parking

🚢 Portside Parking: Convenient & Scenic! 🚗 Pay car park next to the port and beach. Easy access, charges hourly or daily (whichever is cheaper). Adjacent to the promenade, drive through Fuengirola to reach it. Close to all the attractions and centre of Fuengirola. Click the Directions only button below. 🏖️

There is also free street parking in Los Boliches, Torreblanca and Carverjal. To date 2024, most of the parking in Torreblanca and Carverjal is free and there is a lot of parking on the Paseo and 1 row back from the beach. Los Boliches is more of a mixed bag of free and pay so the fairground is a better option. Read below for general rules on street parking. It’s not a definitive guide just a few things to be careful of.

General rules to street parking on the Costa Del Sol

Parking in the Costa del Sol was mostly free but has changed. Free parking is still available, but you must be cautious. if you get a fine for Parking it can be paid at most machines, often with a 20% discount for prompt payment. Hire car fines will reach you regardless of your country. Most towns have free car parks, but they’re hard to find—fairgrounds and bullrings often offer the best options. Below are three key parking signs to watch for, but local rules vary. White lines


Parking spaces either with white painted bays or white lines generally means free parking. But read the yellow zig zag rule.

Blue & green lines

Parking spaces either with blue or green painted bays or lines generally means it is paid parking with a time limit. There will be a pay meter near by again read the yellow zig zag rule.

Yellow zig zag lines

Parking spaces with a yellow zig zag line means that there is a restriction, there will be a sign to explain.  So find out the restriction before parking there. The yellow zig zag line can be on free or pay parking zones. But if you have parked there illegally you will get towed away.
