Estepona has two main outdoor markets that attract both locals and visitors throughout the year. The largest is the traditional Wednesday market, while the Sunday Marina Market provides a more tourist-focused shopping experience in a picturesque waterfront setting. Both are free to visit and offer an enjoyable way to experience local life on the Costa del Sol.
The Wednesday market is Estepona's largest market and is popular with local residents as well as visitors.
Location: Calle Eslovaquia and surrounding streets, Estepona
Opening Times: Wednesdays from approximately 9:00am to 2:30pm.
You will find:
With over 250 stalls, it is one of the largest markets on the western Costa del Sol.
Located around Estepona Marina, this market has a very different atmosphere and is popular with tourists and day visitors.
Location: Estepona Marina (Puerto Deportivo)
Opening Times: Sundays from approximately 9:00am to 2:00pm.
You will find:
The marina setting makes this one of the most pleasant markets on the Costa del Sol, with plenty of nearby cafés, bars, and restaurants.
Parking can be found in the surrounding streets, although it becomes busy as the morning progresses. Arriving early is recommended, especially during the summer months.
Several parking areas are available around the marina and nearby Bullring. The Bullring parking area is often one of the easiest places to park when visiting the market.
By Car: Both markets are easily accessible from the A-7 motorway.
By Bus: Local bus services stop near both the Wednesday Market and Estepona Marina.
On Foot: The Marina Market can easily be combined with a walk along the promenade, marina, and nearby beaches.
Whether you're looking for a traditional Spanish market or a more relaxed tourist-friendly shopping experience, Estepona offers both. The Wednesday Market provides an authentic local atmosphere with hundreds of stalls, while the Sunday Marina Market combines shopping with beautiful harbour views, making it one of the most enjoyable market experiences on the Costa del Sol.
One small correction to your original text: the Wednesday market isn't really "a bit out of town." For SEO and visitor expectations, I'd describe it as "located just north of the town centre" rather than out of town, as that gives a more accurate impression and sounds more positive.

Sunday Market Puerto Deportive, 1, 29680, Málaga, Spain
